Abbeville County School District, Abbeville, SC will receive sealed bids for the following project:
ABBEVILLE HIGH
SCHOOL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM UPGRADE
from qualified bidders until 11:00 A M, prevailing time,
on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, and at said time, will be publicly opened and
read aloud in the Board Room of the School District of Abbeville County, 400
Greenville Street, Abbeville, SC
29620. Bids shall be delivered
to Mr. Sam Jones, Facilities and Operations Director. Bids received after this time will not be considered. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held
at Abbeville High School, 701 Washington St., Abbeville, SC on May 16, 2007
beginning at 10:00 A M. Bidders are
required to visit the site to examine the job conditions prior to bidding.
The scope of work will include the following: Provide new weatherproof switchboard, underground service entrance, panelboard feeders, branch circuit panelboards and branch circuit extensions as required to connect existing classroom heat pumps. Expected project duration is ninety-calendar day after Notice To Proceed. May require weekend and after hour work as required to work around Owner's use of building.

Contractors licensed in South Carolina may obtain a copy of the Bid Documents from the Engineers Office. There is a $25.00 plan deposit. Site location questions should be directed to Mr. Sam Jones, Facilities and Operations at the Owners address or at (864) 366-5427 and at sjones@acsd.k12.sc.us.
Bids shall be binding for forty-five (45) calendar days following opening date. A five percent (5%) bid bond, payable to the Owner, will be required with bids equal or exceeding $100,000. Performance and Payment Bonds of one hundred percent (100%) will be required for bids equal or exceeding $50,000.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive technicalities or informalities and to award the contract in the best interest of the Owner.
